Bach - Mass in B minor / Argenta, Nichols, Chance, Stafford, Milner, W. Evans, Gardiner(more) »rank: 7681by: Johann Sebastian Bach, John Eliot Gardiner, Nancy Argenta, Michael Chance, The English Baroque Soloists, The Monteverdi Choir, Mary Nichols, Wynford Evans, Howard Milner
: essential recording:One of the most frequently mentioned 'favorite' works of Bach, the B Minor Mass is not really a functional liturgical work, but an assemblage of movements written over a period of many years. Feather on the Breath of God(more) »rank: 12908from: Hyperion UK

Julianne Baird as Eurydice and Anne Sofie Von Otter in a gripping appearance as the Messenger are the standouts in a cast without a weak link. Everyone involved, including ... |
